Director of Membership, CMA National

Do you want to enhance the CMA member experience and provide great benefits to all members? The Director of Membership will spearhead membership development CMA continues to grow. This Director develop strategies for new member orientation and education across chapters. The director will lead chapters in managing the member back-end system, member feedback systems and member benefits programs.


  • Develop and manage processes for regularly identifying member needs
  • Develop new strategies to enhance member programs and services across chapters
  • Develop and manage process for member feedback on national programs and services
  • Coach and manage chapter Membership Directors
  • Negotiate arrangements for adding member programs and benefits
  • Manage the membership application approval process
  • Manage membership recruitment efforts ensuring consistent communications and processes across chapters
  • Attend meetings of the national board, committees, committee chairs and planning sessions as required

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have strong communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
  • Experience building and maintaining work partnerships with clients within a work environment
  • Must have a strong understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps
  • Takes personal ownership of key tasks and can make progress when required to work independently
  • Must be detail-oriented and a creative problem-solver capable of managing several tasks simultaneously in a fast paced changing environment and possesses excellent follow-up skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to proactively prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • The ability and passion to attend events as a representative of CMA
